Dumb question but does the cursor serve any purpose or do I just throw it in the corner and forget about it while I use my controller

Haha; I have OCD about where mine is while I am playing MXS. I ALWAYS have it in the top right corner, so it's not on the screen.

But when it comes to using my menu, changing settings or joining multiplayer, I always use my cursor!

A lot of people use their keyboard to browse through the in game menu, but I prefer the cursor/my mouse.

Moral of story: it's stuck on screen, with nowhere to put it except for in one of the 4 corners to make it somewhat dissapear.

Nope, it doesn't do anything related to controlling the physics of the game.

If you are playing on a keyboard, I'd highly recommend getting a controller as soon as possible.

top right corner seems to be place to park it in for about everyone i know
Then there's one of my best friends who doesn't care at all and usually has it somewhere in the middle of the screen, i can't even watch him play without freaking out about it

I turn my mouse sensitivity down and put my cursor exactly over the plus on the pitboard. That way it blends right in!
