But you must have the original file right? im not a programmer and got no clue, but you have probably saved every step right? (if possible) IF you want, you can give me the original soundfile and just replace it with my mix. Maybie im stupid, im verry tierd.jlv wrote:It's not that easy. It needs to be broken down into separate patches for each RPM and torque load. If it were easy I wouldn't have been screwing around with it for almost 2 months!

Making an original file that sounds good is easy. The hard part is chopping that up into bits that can be spliced back together and sound like the original at any RPM and torque load. Distorting the original only makes that harder.
Making patches for a system like this really does require some serious skill. I wish I could make it easy but it's just not possible.

so the patches is the hard part? becouse what i ment was i hope or guess that the project where you chopped up the sounds is saved, so you can just replace the soundfile with a new one, get it? if not, il try to figure out how to mix the one's you released.jlv wrote:Making an original file that sounds good is easy. With the new update whoops are sick but my bike feels alot more loose in corners. Is anyone else feeling that to or am I just riding really bad.

Re: 2011-07-21 snapshot
the new sounds are seriously decent way better than I was expecting I especially love the rev limiter , one thing I would like is for the 250f to hit the rev limiter instantly once engine has hit 13500 . I try to hit the limiter then shift up a gear but sometimes it takes for ever . I know u should shift earlier but it sounds so cool .
Thanks JLV for all the hard work

Sorry I don't have a project file. I actually wrote a little waveform editor just for this that let me mark cycles while giving me the exact RPM for the cycle length and then let me export everything I marked while automatically naming it according to RPM. Given the hackish nature of it there were no project files.Baboobeats wrote:so the patches is the hard part? becouse what i ment was i hope or guess that the project where you chopped up the sounds is saved, so you can just replace the soundfile with a new one, get it? if not, il try to figure out how to mix the one's you released.
The rev limiter sound only plays in neutral torque situations above 11702 RPM (it reaches full volume at 13166 RPM). I figure it would sound bad if it kept pulling after making the limiter sound. After a few weeks we're probably going to be sick of hearing people abuse the rev limiter sound anyway!AUS_yzman wrote:the new sounds are seriously decent way better than I was expecting I especially love the rev limiter , one thing I would like is for the 250f to hit the rev limiter instantly once engine has hit 13500 . I put it in my personal folder... still doesn't work.
Re: 2011-07-21 snapshot
It's supposed to go in your install folder, at c:\Program Files\MX Simulator.

I did.. am i missing something here? am i suppose to rename somthing?
Re: 2011-07-21 snapshot
Rename the snapshot mx.exe and place the zzzvtestzz.saf in either your Personal Folder or install folder. I would also suggest using Tyskorn's .braap files as they take away a bit of the muffling.
