I don't think their problem was using the scrambler. I believe the skins they were testing it on were not showing up in game.

I got it to work.

Scram the PNG (name it .png.scram).
Place in personal folder.

When I do like that, I don't see the skin name in the list...
And when I rename the scrambled png in xxx.png the skin doesn't appear, just the default skin/model..

Wheels, drop your plans for the weekend and write a desktop scrambler instead. You'll save yourself time and trouble in the long run. Lol.

Well I saw someone had an issue with scrambling files with spaces in the name. Also the method you described, didn't work me for some reason, so I had to do a little googling to find out exactly how to do it. I never use command line, and I'm guessing a few others don't either, so hopefully it helped someone.

When I tested it, I tried a skin for a model on my track, and everything was fine. I've just tested it with a bike skin on the kx125, and I get the same problem as everyone else - it doesn't appear in the list. I removed the .scram, and it reappeared, so I guess the game isn't reading it correctly to just display it in the list..?

Hopefully in the future this can be implemented in a way that's a little more user friendly and less time consuming than command line.

The new format looks great though, and I can see that the result is different each time I scramble the same file! :)

Try a rider skin, that is what I tried and it worked. Could be an issue with the game finding bike skins with .scram.

Try this. Put it in the folder with the skins and mxscram.exe. Open with notepad++ (or other text editor) and change the filename after "set input=". Save the batch file and double click it to run.

It's only hard when someone tries to follow your instructions...

Hehe like I said, I rarely need to use command line, and I'm sure there are a few others that hardly use it either.

Thanks for the .bat file! Much appreciated! Definitely quicker than having to go through command line everytime. Hopefully it's pretty simple to take this further, and write a program which will allow batch processing of files..?

I would consider it if I knew what the heck the scrambler was doing...

You mean to scramble a bunch of files at once?

Try this.

Put this in a folder with mxscram.exe and all the pngs you want to scramble, then run the batch file.

Thanks! Yeah multiple file scrambling was what I meant by 'batch'.

The only issue was that it didn't scramble files that had a space in the name. If you change line 3 so that it reads...

for %%x in (*.txt) do mxscram.exe "%%x" -o "%%x.scram"

(Double quotes were added)

...then it will work fine! Many thanks!
